A recurring theme from my Buyer clients wanting to live on the Prospect/Goshen side of Oldham County: “We want affordable housing and a short commute back to Louisville.” Voila! The City of River Bluff offers that – and much more. It is an older neighborhood, many homes 30+ years old, so the trees have become very mature and stately. People especially love the lovely winding streets. The City of River Bluff doesn’t have that “subdivision” feel, due in large part to the over sized lots and all that great privacy.
Affordable Home Prices
Six homes sold in 2011. The average sales price was $233,000. The average days on the market – 140 days. And the average cost per square foot – $98.74.
You will find everything from sprawling ranches to traditional two-story homes to Cape Cod floor plans – there are even a few homes with contemporary flair.
And Of Course Those Great Award-Winning Oldham County Schools
Goshen Elementary, North Oldham Middle School and North Oldham High School are just down the road and are schools of excellence. The Oldham County school system is one of the major reasons people want to live in Oldham County.
Close To All Things Louisville
The Prospect/Goshen side of Oldham County is located on the mighty Ohio River. Large stretches of Highway 42 are designation as a “scenic highway”, and for good reason. All along this side of Oldham County you can take in breathtaking views of gorgeous horse farms and stately homes. Prospect and Goshen are just minutes away from great restaurants, shopping centers, and the nearby interstate will take you to all Louisville amenities. Downtown Louisville is just 15 minutes down the road.
