Okay, so I’ve never grown up. Not really. And I don’t want to. Not if it means I outgrow my love for water parks and swimming pools in the summer time.
And when I can’t take a full day away from my real estate life and go to nearby King’s Island near Cincinnati or The Atlantis in Clarksville, Indiana…
I can still go and have a great time just 10 minutes from my Crestwood home to Oldham County’s Aquatic Center in Buckner.
(Also known as The John Black Aquatic Center).
There are activities all summer long for kids of all ages – even kids my age!
Here are a few highlights:
- Swimming lessons
- Fitness classes
- Pool party rentals
- Swim team
- Lap swimming
- And much more!
It is a very affordable way to spend a summer afternoon. Admission is only $5.00 for ages 13-59, $4.00 for kids 3-12 years, 60 years and up is $3.00, and kids two and under are admitted FREE.
The John W. Black Aquatic Center is not a water park, but it does offer a fun water slide that I love! That’s my favorite part of going there to swim. See, I told you I never grew up!
